Synopsis : Khammar is a 72-year-old garage owner in Vaulx-en-Velin, a suburb of Lyon. His garage is his home and his family. Customers and friends come here for repairs and to sip coffee. Khammar has to leave his garage to retire, but he’s resisting. Khammar is my father. I meet him again after 30 years apart. Little by little, we tamed each other. When I asked him to come with me to Morocco, the country of our ancestors, he accepted. He hadn’t been there for 20 years, he wanted to see Casablanca again and sell the flat he still owns there to buy a small house in the south of France. I want to see the village where my parents met, which has now disappeared, submerged by a dam lake.
